Getting a new puppy is an exciting event. However, this cute little bundle of fur could start terrorizing your house or neighborhood if left untrained. Don’t wait until your puppy exhibits unwanted behaviors. Now is the time when your puppy is the easiest to train—there are no bad habits to untrain. Our foundational training program includes problem solving and prevention, socialization, manners, crate and house training, leash training, and introduction to commands such as sit, down, stay, come, and place. When your pooch finishes our puppy training classes, you and little Fido be ready to begin a long, happy life together. Puppy training is always worth the cost. Puppy training is always worth the cost for long-lasting benefits.
The small techniques that go into puppy training at home are just as imperative as the professional ones. Essentially, puppies are like babies. They bite, they chew everything and require proofing around the house. Setting up a crate, gathering toys, designating a feeding area, and secluding a space for a bed are all part of the preparation process for a puppy’s first day home. Owners should conjure a set schedule that will keep themselves and the puppy in line. The more that owners stick to the plan, the more your puppy can expect a predictable routine that’ll help them stay obedient.
Your brand-new pup is in for a whirlwind of firsts like the first time taking a trip in your car on their way to their forever home. They have never smelled you or your home environment, and their senses are overstimulated. Running around, sniffing, and rampantly exploring the yard, are certain mannerisms you’ll notice right away. Our dog trainers are here to share puppy training tips and tricks that can help you deal with any behavioral needs to make the transition as smooth as possible.
At our facility, you’re going to find everything you need to start and maintain a long, healthy, happy relationship with man’s best friend. Puppy Foundation is the starting point, but there are numerous other services we offer for our dog and dog-lovers convenience. When your pup has learned the basics, you can take it up a notch into advanced obedience training and then a full-fledged doggie boot camp if that suits you. Whatever you’re looking for, you’ll be in for a pleasant surprise when you open our doors.

I love Unleash Fido! Old dogs CAN learn new tricks! My dog Bandit is a 5 year old Border Collie. I rescued him in my final years of high school and have dragged him across the country with me. While my heart was in the right place, I wasn’t a very good pet owner. Bandit became aggressive to the point that I could not have him out while friends and family were over. He did not listen to any commands. He wasn’t even potty trained. After having my son I decided that something had to be done. Either he learned how to behave or he had to go. And who is going to want an old untrained mean border collie?
So off to boot camp Bandit went. Travis spent time with Bandit. Took him on “field trips” and took good care of my buddy. A month later my dog came back 10 times better. At that point Travis began to train me. He taught us how to maintain our dog and how to keep him happy. As we learned how to be good pet parents our furbaby has continued to improve. Bandit is absolutely wonderful now. I can have him around my baby. I can have friends over. He doesn’t use my home as a bathroom. I can take him to the beach. The improvement is AMAZING. If you are on the fence, let me help you off! If your dog harms someone you are liable. If your dog is disobedient it can cost you your dog. If your dog is destructive it will end up costing you a ton of money. Do yourself a favor and get in touch with Unleash Fido. It feels great to be able to go out in public with your dog without any sort of anxiety.
